Guy Halperin is VP, head of R&D for RealSense, where he leads a multidisciplinary organization driving end-to-end development of advanced depth sensing and computer vision technologies. In this role, Halperin spearheads innovation across software, hardware, algorithms, optics and mechanical and industrial design to deliver breakthrough products that power physical AI, for use in robotics, automation, retail, agriculture and more. Halperin oversees the full stack of R&D, transforming ideas into production-ready systems that shape the future of physical AI.
Halperin has played pivotal roles at Intel during his more than two-decade career in the high-tech industry. As VP in the Client Computing Group (CCG) and the general manager of the Software Products Group, he led global teams delivering revenue-generating, customer-facing software across productivity, security, analytics and manageability for both B2B and B2C markets. He was instrumental in driving Intel’s strategy for distinct software offerings that stand apart from traditional platform software.
As head of architecture and chief strategist for Intel Wireless worldwide, Halperin helped position Intel as a global leader in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, overseeing strategic planning, systems engineering and product development for its multi-billion-dollar product lines. He also played a key role in M&A integration, product strategy and startup mentorship through Intel Ignite and Intel Capital engagements.
Halperin is inspired daily by the real-world impact of RealSense technology, from precision agriculture to industrial automation. His current role at RealSense enables him to combine his expertise in product development, technology and business strategy.
