FOV 87° × 58°
Ideal Range .3 m to 3 m
Global Shutter
Ideal for dynamic environments
A global-shutter RGB sensor is optimized for dynamic environments involving moving objects or quickly changing viewpoint, such as when a robot or AMR rotates along its vertical axis. Its higher sensitivity delivers more reliable image quality in low-light or mixed lighting conditions and bright light.
Enhanced Synchronization
To enhance the synchronization between the depth and RGB images, all D436 sensors are global shutter with matching FOV. D436 is equipped with 1MP global-shutter depth and RGB sensors, ~90° field of view, IMU bundled with our onboard RealSense™ Vision Processor D4 (Board V3).
Optimized for Robotic with IMU
RealSense stereo cameras deliver industry-leading depth across a wide range of indoor and outdoor use cases—ideal for robotics, drones, scanning, and more. With an embedded IMU and broad-coverage global-shutter RGB, RealSense™ Camera D436 helps applications refine depth awareness when the camera moves.
This supports visual SLAM and tracking workflows for better point-cloud alignment and improves environmental awareness for robotics and drones.
The IMU also simplifies registration and calibration for moving robots and handheld scanning systems.
Perfect for many Vision Based AI Applications
RealSense™ 3D Stereo technology is an integral part of any vision-based AI solution. Seeing the world in 3D accelerates machine learning and reduces deployment time for automated solutions.
Easy to integrate
Anywhere you use RealSense cameras D43x today, consider the D436 to improve application performance, with the same dimensions as D435 for easy integration.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is RealSense™ Depth camera D436?
The RealSense™ Depth Camera D436 features a broad field of view global shutter D430 optical module , with a matching global shutter RGB sensor covering the full depth field of view.
What is the size of the camera?
D436 camera has the same dimensions as D435i making it easy to integrate it: 90 mm (W) × 25 mm (H) × 25 mm (D).
Is there a module version of the D436?
D436 uses the existing D430 module which doesn’t have a dedicated RGB sensor. Customers who prefer a module version would require to add a dedicated standalone RGB camera and integrate it with a RealSense™ Vision Processor D4 Board
What is the difference between D435i and D436?
The only difference between D435i and D436 is the RGB camera. D436 has 1MP Global Shutter wide FOV of 87° × 58° RGB camera. The D435i RGB camera is 2MP Rolling Shutter standard FOV of 69° × 42°.
What are the target use cases of D436?
RealSense D436 camera with its embedded IMU and global shutter wide FOV RGB, allows applications to refine their depth awareness in any situation where the camera moves. This opens the door for rudimentary visual SLAM and tracking applications allowing better point-cloud alignment. It also allows improved environmental awareness for robotics and drones. The use of an IMU makes registration and calibration easier for moving robots to navigate in the environment, handheld scanning system use cases and more.
What is in the package?
The box product comes in a retail box. It has a peripheral (camera), a USB cable, a tripod and a get started guide.
