* The D430 family has an ideal operating range of 0.3 m to 3 m. Stereo depth can operate beyond that range depending on scene and conditions; specified D435 depth accuracy is <2% at 2 m.

The RealSense™ D430 Series brings wide-field-of-view, global-shutter stereo depth to one of our most flexible camera families. Choose from RGB, matched global-shutter RGB, IMU, IR-pass filtering, USB and GMSL configurations, available as complete cameras or modules for custom integration. Powered by the RealSense™ Vision Processor D4, the D430 Series performs depth processing onboard and delivers high-quality 3D data across robotics, industrial automation, inspection, analysis and other vision applications. Its ideal operating range is 0.3 m to 3 m, with enhanced close-range performance to approximately 12 cm through Perception Studio.

HARDWARE

One Depth Platform. Multiple Configurations.

For robots, inspection, analysis and more, the D430 Series combines a common wide-FOV stereo depth architecture with configurations designed for different deployment requirements.

=is used in deployed robotics ranging from humanoids to industrial automation.

D436

$354

Matched global-shutter RGB + depth. Builds on the D435 architecture with a global-shutter RGB sensor that is field-of-view matched and synchronized with the stereo depth sensors. Includes an integrated IMU.

D435i

$334

Depth + RGB + motion. Adds an integrated IMU to the D435, providing depth, color and inertial data for applications involving camera or robot motion. LimX Dynamics selected the D435i as a primary depth sensor for its Oli humanoid robot.

D435f

$334

Enhanced depth with IR-pass filtering. Adds a 750 nm near-infrared pass filter over the depth imagers to improve depth quality and performance in environments affected by reflections and challenging visible light.

D435if

$354

IR-pass filtering + IMU. Combines the D435f IR-pass depth configuration with an integrated IMU for applications that require both enhanced depth performance and motion awareness.

D430

For custom integration. The D430 optical module paired with a RealSense Vision Processor D4 board gives developers the core wide-FOV stereo-depth architecture for integration into their own enclosure and product design.

D430 GMSL

For industrial integration. Pairs the D430 optical module with the RealSense Vision Processor D4 Board V5 and GMSL/FAKRA connectivity for industrial robotics and embedded deployments.

SOFTWARE

The Perception Studio for Physical AI.

A continuous-release program delivering early access to next-generation perception capabilities built on RealSense depth cameras. Iterate fast. Ship faster. Early access to beta features, including enhanced close-range performance, visual-inertial odometry, and person detection – executed on host with RealSense SDK2.0. Registration required.

Built for Robots in Motion

Depth in Motion

Global-shutter stereo imagers capture an entire frame simultaneously, making the D430 architecture well suited to moving robots, moving objects and rapidly changing viewpoints. For applications that also need inertial data, D435i, D435if and D436 integrate an IMU directly into the camera.

IR-Pass Vision

D435f and D435if add a 750 nm near-infrared pass filter over the stereo depth imagers. The filter is designed to improve depth quality in robotic environments and reduce depth artifacts associated with reflections and repetitive patterns.

Warehouse AMRs

Matched Global-Shutter RGB

The D436 combines the D430 wide-FOV depth module with a synchronized, global-shutter RGB sensor whose field of view closely matches the depth sensors. That gives perception systems more consistent RGB-D information in dynamic environments, reducing the disparity between what the color camera sees and what the depth system measures. D436 provides up to 1280 × 800 RGB at 60 fps, with approximately 90° × 65° RGB FOV.

The Vision System Physical AI Has Been Waiting For

Physical AI depends on more than seeing an image. Robots need 3D geometry, motion awareness and spatial context to understand where objects are, how the environment is changing and how to act within it. The D430 Series provides a common depth platform that can move with a product from development into deployment: from compact USB cameras for prototyping and robotics, to modules for embedded designs and GMSL for industrial integration. The same RealSense SDK 2.0 ecosystem supports the platform across configurations.
