Tate Allen

Vice President, Sales

Tate Allen is the VP of Sales at RealSense, where he leads global sales strategy and customer growth. Allen is focused on bringing RealSense’s depth and vision technology to the robotics, automation, and logistics innovators building the future of physical AI, and on making RealSense the perception platform those companies trust to help machines see and understand the world around them.

He brings more than two decades of experience selling advanced machine vision, robotics, and AI into the world’s most demanding enterprise accounts. Allen’s career spans engineering, product, and sales leadership, giving him a rare ability to connect deep technical capability to real customer outcomes and to translate emerging technology into solutions the market is ready to adopt.

Before RealSense, Allen spent much of his career at Cognex, where he rose through technical and sales roles to lead high-performing teams and help establish the company as a dominant force in logistics automation. He went on to enterprise sales at Berkshire Grey, partnering with the largest U.S. retailers to bring turnkey robotic automation into their supply chains, and later served as vice president of sales at robotics innovators Elementary Robotics and Pickle Robotics, where he built go-to-market organizations from the ground up and shaped the strategies behind their growth.

Known for building durable customer relationships and developing the people around him, Allen pairs a consultative, solutions-first approach with a long track record of scaling sales teams through periods of rapid growth. He holds an MBA from Babson College and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Outside of work, Allen is an avid cyclist who enjoys tinkering with audio electronics and woodworking.
