Chris Matthieu

VP, Developer Ecosystem

Chris Matthieu is vice president, Developer Ecosystem at RealSense, working closely with the executive and sales teams to identify emerging tech trends, shape strategy and engage developers and enterprise customers.

Matthieu is a serial entrepreneur, technologist and innovation leader with a track record of founding and successfully exiting five emerging technology startups to major corporations. Over his career, he has built and scaled companies at the cutting edge of AI-driven robotics, IoT platforms, decentralized supercomputing and metaverse solutions.

Each venture reflects Matthieu’s ability to spot what’s next, build it from the ground up and deliver transformative solutions to market. He brings his passion for “blue sky” ideation with customers to RealSense, highlighting what’s possible with its technology – and then collaborating with sales and product teams to bring new applications to market.

At Intel, he served as entrepreneur in residence, licensing his metaverse platform to the company and helping incubate new ventures.

His entrepreneurial journey includes founding and exiting companies, including Computes Inc. (acquired by Magic Leap), Octoblu (acquired by Citrix), XRPA.NET (creator of spatial web platforms grouproom.io and metaverses.io), Nodester (acquired by AppFog), Teleku (acquired by Voxeo/Tropo) and Digital Voice Technologies (acquired by Ideas and Associates).

A coder since age 10, Matthieu believes in empowering developers — from students to enterprise innovators — acknowledging that today’s garage project could be tomorrow’s market disruptor.

Outside of tech, Matthieu pursues his other passions – playing guitar and riding vintage motorcycles. He sees a creative connection in building something with your hands, whether it’s code, chords or classic machines.
