Nadav Orbach is the founder and CEO of RealSense, spearheading the company’s mission to become the de facto standard in vision perception for robotics and autonomous systems. With nearly two decades of experience in visual technologies, Orbach focuses on making RealSense the platform of choice for machines that rely on 3D perception to navigate and interact with the world. His vision is to power the next generation of autonomous robots, from humanoids to industrial machines, by providing real-time spatial awareness and decision-making capabilities.
Before founding RealSense, Orbach spent 19 years at Intel, where he played a critical role in shaping the company’s imaging, computer vision and AI-driven sensing technologies. As vice president and general manager of Intel’s Incubation & Disruptive Innovation Group, he led the development of emerging vision technologies, incubated new ventures and drove strategic growth initiatives across Intel’s business units. He also served as the general manager of Intel’s Vision Technology Group, overseeing the development of camera IP, 3D sensing solutions and Intel’s first vision-focused SoC. Throughout his tenure, he led teams from the ground up, growing to 650 engineers and overseeing a portfolio of 86 patents.
An innovator and engineer, Orbach has been instrumental in advancing camera and imaging solutions, from integrating cameras into laptops to pioneering 3D vision applications. His passion lies in transforming breakthrough technologies into scalable, real-world solutions — now with RealSense at the forefront of autonomous perception.
Orbach earned his B.S. in electrical engineering and BA in Physics from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (summa cum laude) and his MBA from Tel Aviv University (cum laude)
