Using the provided USB 2 Type C cable, connect the peripheral to your PC or host device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The F45x cameras are pre-installed with the facial authentication and anti-spoofing software.
There is no need for a separate SW purchase, registration, or activation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using the RealSense ID Viewer software <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The viewer software is designed to allow you to quickly test and evaluate a variety of features of your new RealSense ID device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\t\t\tEnroll a new user\t<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After entering your name, the system will enroll you and display a success message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sit or stand about 20 inches (50 cm) from the camera, ideally with good ambient light and minimal backlighting. Select Enroll and enter your name.

Follow the instructions on the screen to turn your head.

Select the pictures icon next to the Enroll button. Add the user’s name, then select a picture to upload to use for enrollment purpose only.

Once you have enrolled, you can test authentication<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select Authenticate to authenticate you once. With the repeat button (double arrows next to Authenticate), the system will continuously attempt to authenticate you until you select Stop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\t\t\tDeleting a user\t<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Delete users by selecting the checkboxes next to their names, and then select the trash icon to delete them. This action cannot be undone – any users accidentally deleted must be re-enrolled. The top checkbox can be used to delete all enrolled users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are a number of configurable settings that allow you to customize the operation of your F450\/F455.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using the gear icon in the top right corner will open Settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Face Selection<\/strong> – If Single is selected, the device will return results only for one face, which is the best candidate found. When Multi is selected, the device will return results for all the faces detected in the frame.\u200b This is a small latency and power impact when running Multi as the pipeline is run on all the faces in the image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Host Mode<\/strong> – By default, the user database information is saved on the F450\/F455 device. By selecting Enabled, the user database information can be saved in another location.\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preview Format<\/strong> – Select which format to show for previews.\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dump Mode<\/strong> – Enabled turns on frame dumps but disables live preview. Frame dumps are located in a subfolder called dumps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Security Level<\/strong> – This setting enables the ability to test an operating mode that supports partially covered faces (e.g. due to face masks). Medium confidence will allow authentication with greater tolerance, where High confidence might reject partially covered faces in some situations.\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Operation Mode<\/strong> – This setting allows you to choose what features you wish to enable on the device.\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n
